What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Technician position at INCOG BioPharma Services?
This position will support the functions of the INCOG BioPharma facility and grounds. The facilities tech will oversee maintaining the different equipment, fixtures, and furniture within the site through routine maintenance and regular check-ups to ensure all equipment is working properly at all times. In case of malfunctioning items, the facilities tech will try to repair these items or schedule the item for repair. This role is responsible to ensure the facility's occupational safety and health standards are met and facilitate a safety-first mindset by adhering to and encouraging other to follow safety protocols.
Essential Job Functions:
- Primary role is performing general and detailed maintenance throughout the facility, including patching, painting, hardware repair and other repair/replacement work as required.
- Perform routine facility and equipment maintenance on systems including HVAC, plumbing and appliances and assist in utility system maintenance.
- Schedule and manage contractors performing maintenance, projects and site improvements.
- Oversight of facility grounds including landscaping, snow removal, irrigation, trash compactor and recycling programs.
- Resolve unplanned day-to-day items throughout the facility to maintain the site’s presentation.
- Perform routine daily inspections of assigned buildings and spaces.
- Maintain facility related spares inventory.
- Assist or perform general and detailed cleaning of facility, interior and exterior spaces.
- Plan and document all work performed in the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
- Oversee and perform set-up and teardown for site-wide events.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Work flexible hours to ensure production facility coverage, including flexing hours into weekends to accommodate business needs.
Special Job Requirements:
- High school diploma with technical training or equivalent military training.
- Previous experience performing daily routine inspections.
- 3 years of experience with oversight of facility grounds, including painting, patching and hardware repair.
- Physically capable and available to work overtime and/or respond to afterhours alarms including weekends and holidays.
Special Job Requirements:
- Certification in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field.
- 3 years troubleshooting and repairing facility systems in an operations or manufacturing setting.
