DRAWING TECHNICIAN - 3rd Shift

We are currently seeking a Technician to join our team on 3rd shift. This is a great opportunity for someone who is motivated, hands-on, and eager to learn. Prior experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train individuals who bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to grow.
Schedule:
- 3rd Shift: Sunday – Thursday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Training: Initial training will take place on 1st Shift (Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM) for approximately the first 3 months
- Shift Differential: An additional 15% shift differential is paid for 3rd shift hours
Position Summary:
As a Technician, you will perform a variety of manual and mechanical tasks to set up and operate fiber drawing machines and support related production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate various fiber drawing machines
- Prepare materials, handle fibers, and perform visual inspections
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure product quality
- Collaborate with engineering to conduct testing, support new product development, and assist with troubleshooting
- Complete required documentation, data entry, and recordkeeping
- Follow all established safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment
- Interpret routing sheets and production specifications
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A strong work history and reliable attendance
- Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required
- Experience with precision measuring instruments is a plus
- Strong visual acuity, manual dexterity, and attention to detail
- Ability to lift, carry, and move items up to 50 lbs
- Proficiency in English, including speaking, comprehension, reading, and writing, at a level necessary to effectively perform job duties.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Reliable transportation is required for scheduled shifts
