Job Description:
The VP, Private Wealth is a member of IR M’s Private Wealth Team focused on building and sustaining relationships with prospects and clients in the private wealth sector with a focus on investment consultants, family offices, and registered investment advisors. The VP, Private Wealth position requires 8 years of business development experience with established relationships in the private wealth segment, specifically in the Northeast region. This role also requires a deep knowledge of fixed income markets and the ability to effectively communicate IR M’s investment philosophy and process.
This role is a Boston based position will report to the Head of Private Wealth and will collaborate with IR M’s broader Client Service Team.
Responsibilities:
- Grow the private wealth business by building partnerships with key consultants, family offices, and RIAs to increase IR M brand awareness and meet Private Wealth team sales goals
- Develop prospecting list for assigned region and market channel with guidance and oversight from the Head of Private Wealth
- Conduct prospecting activity aligned with metrics-based sales goals including thought leadership, conference attendance, and meetings
- Lead in-person and virtual sales meetings and make customized sales presentations utilizing in depth knowledge of our products and services
- Forge strong partnerships with the Head of Private Wealth, other members of the Private Wealth Team, and strategic sub-advisory partners, as well as Client Service and Investment Team professionals who participate in the sales process
- Successfully partner with Client Service Team colleagues on consultant relations and client cross-selling opportunities
- Share market intelligence with the Client Service and Private Wealth Teams, as well as educate these Teams on the designated region and client segment
Required Skills and Experience:
- 8 years in a business development role with a demonstrated ability to build relationships and generate sales
- Robust existing private wealth network and demonstrated history of successfully cultivating new client relationships
- Strong fixed income knowledge base
- Experience with sales of separately managed accounts, ETFs, and other fund structures
- Ability to analyze and use market data and investor feedback to formulate sales ideas
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and professional presence
- Strong communication skills - verbal, written, and listening
- Ability to convey credibility, confidence, and trust
- Team player with demonstrated ability to collaborate with others
- Well organized, flexible, and adaptable

· In addition to the opportunity to participate in a discretionary bonus program, the salary range below describes the estimated minimum to maximum base salary range for a position of this level. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each candidate and may vary based upon but not limited to relevant experience, licensure requirements, certifications, skill set, and other business and organizational needs.
Base Salary Range: $150,000 - $210,000
Annual Performance Bonus: This role is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus
