Job Summary
We are seeking a Sheet Metal Operator to fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products for customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate, install, and repair sheet metal products and custom-designed components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate product specifications.
- Measure and cut metal sheets to required dimensions using hand tools and machines (e.g., shears, brakes, and drills).
- Install finished products at sites or facilities, ensuring proper fit and functionality.
- Operate a CNC Plasma Table and CNC brake press.
- Inspect and troubleshoot completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality.
- Maintain and operate machinery and tools in accordance with manufacturer guidelines to prevent malfunctions.
- Collaborate with other trades to coordinate installation and ensure efficient project completion.
Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized sheet metal apprenticeship program or similar vocational training.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in sheet metal fabrication or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and troubleshooting.
- Time management and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
- This role requires long periods of standing, stoop or bending, and kneeling.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to see inspection work, read blueprints, and technical drawings.
