* Assess patients' conditions, including vital signs and physiological parameters, and intervene with appropriate care
* Provide care to patients with critically ill, unstable, or life-threatening conditions
* Manage various life-support systems like ventilation and heart-monitoring
* Administer medications and other treatments
* Participate in rapid response and emergency situations
