Job Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at an Academic Medical Center in the Bronxville, NY area. As a CRNA, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with experienced professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and develop anesthesia plans for patients
- Administer general or local anesthesia, sedatives, and pain management medication as per physician's orders
- Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels during surgery to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of anesthesia administration and adhere to hospital protocols and guidelines
Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree in nurse anesthesia from an accredited program
- Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
- Active state license as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) and in good standing with the medical board
- BASIC Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
