Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Labor & Delivery Nurse (RN) to join our team in Goldsboro, NC. As a Labor & Delivery Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing care strategies for laboring mothers, working closely with obstetricians and other healthcare providers.
Your duties will include monitoring vital signs, contractions, and fetal heart rates, making timely interventions as necessary. You will also administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including epidurals and intravenous fluids, while providing emotional and educational support to patients and their families throughout the labor and delivery process.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- An Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher educational attainment from an accredited program
- An active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
- Experience in Labor and Delivery, Obstetrics, or a related field preferred
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard medical equipment pertinent to Labor & Delivery
