Responsibilities:
- Monitor cardiac rhythm and other critical vital signs, interpreting data to identify any signs of distress or abnormal patterns.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to the medical plan of care.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to evaluate and modify the plan of care as necessary, with a focus on patient's cardiac status.
- Educate patients and their families on best practices for heart health, treatment plans, and any relevant home care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient's condition, treatment, and progress in accordance with hospital and departmental policies.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Associate's Degree (ADN) or above in nursing.
- An active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
- At least 1 year experience in cardiac telemetry or other cardiac care setting.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Skilled in EKG rhythm interpretation and other cardiac monitoring techniques.
