As a nurse on this team, you will work with patients who require specialized care, including those with cardiac, neuro, and oncology conditions. Your primary responsibility will be to provide individualized care to these patients, working closely with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Some of your key duties and responsibilities will include administering medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, monitoring vital signs, and implementing treatment plans. You will also be responsible for collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care and facilitating discharge planning. In addition, you will educate patients and their families on chronic and acute disease management, medical conditions, and post-discharge care.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need an ADN or higher in nursing, an active RN license, and at least 1 year of nursing experience in a medical-surgical or similar setting. BLS certification is also mandatory. You should possess strong clinical skills, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care, as well as proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
