Surgical Nurse Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Surgical Nurse to join our team at Incredible Health in Williamsburg, VA. As a Surgical Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with physicians and staff to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to surgical patients before, during, and after surgery in accordance with AORN standards
- Maintain an aseptic and safe environment in the Operating Room
- Assist in the intra-operative care of the patient by performing nursing and technical duties as assigned
- Monitor patients' vital signs and other physiological parameters during surgery
- Communicate with patients and their families about the surgical procedure and postoperative care
Requirements
- ADN or higher degree in nursing
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
- 1 year of experience in an operating room (OR) or surgical setting preferred
- ACLS, PALS certification preferred
