Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, you must possess:
- An Associate's Degree (ADN) or higher in nursing
- An active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
- At least 1 year of experience in a PACU, ICU, or similar high-acuity setting (preferred)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
As a PACU RN, you will be responsible for:
- Providing immediate post-operative care to surgical patients
- Monitoring vital signs and managing symptoms of anesthesia
- Administering prescribed medications and implementing treatment plans as directed by medical staff
- Collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams
- Educating patients and their families on post-operative care
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation
Salary Range
The salary for this position is $49,490 to $98,780 per year.
