PACU RN Job Description
Hospitals on Incredible Health are actively hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). We seek experienced nurses in various specialties, including Cardiac Monitoring, Circulate, Pediatric, Presurgical assessment, Robotic surgery, Transplant, or Wound & drain care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide immediate post-operative care to surgical patients, monitoring vital signs and managing anesthesia symptoms
- Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams for seamless patient transitions from the operating room to discharge home
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree (ADN) or higher in nursing
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
- 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or high-acuity setting preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
