Job Summary: The PACU Registered Nurse position involves providing high-quality care to post-operative patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide critical care to post-operative patients, monitoring vital signs and managing symptoms of anesthesia
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care, including pain management and potential complications
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
- 1 year experience in a high-acuity setting, preferably in a PACU or ICU
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in electronic medical record systems
