Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Network and Systems Administrator to join our MIS team. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining our server and networking infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a versatile IT professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is comfortable handling tasks ranging from PC troubleshooting to firewall configuration. The position requires someone proactive, reliable, and capable of working in a 24x7 production setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot server hardware, including RAID configurations, firmware updates, and network storage.

• Manage and upgrade Microsoft network services, including Office 365, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.

• Support, maintain, and enhance network security, including Checkpoint/Meraki firewalls and VPN administration.

• Administer backup solutions (Veeam, ArcServe) and ensure data integrity.

• Provide secondary desktop support as needed.

• Assist with cloud infrastructure management across AWS, Azure, and Oracle OCI.

• Improve IT operations by implementing proactive solutions

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Education & Experience: BS in Computer Science (or equivalent) and 3 years of relevant experience.
• Hardware Expertise: Experience with server hardware (Dell preferred), RAID, and fibre channel storage.
• Networking: Solid understanding of networking principles, routing, and firewall management.
• Security & Compliance: Experience with patching, security best practices, and compliance requirements.
• Problem-Solving & Communication: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Hitachi (or similar) SAN administration.
• VoIP administration (ShoreTel or similar).
• Monitoring tools such as OpenNMS.
• Linux system administration (Red Hat preferred).
• Experience with Java, Tomcat, and Apache.
• AWS services, including SES, Elastic Beanstalk, Cloud Search, and DynamoDB.

Additional Details

• This is a non-supervisory role.
• The position requires participation in on-call rotations.
• Strong communication skills are essential, as this role will interact with employees across the organization.
