Kitchen Shift Leader

Incredibowl Entertainment Toledo is hiring Kitchen Shift Leaders to join our team. In this fast-paced role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring smooth kitchen operations during your assigned shifts, leading the team to deliver high-quality food and exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation & Quality Control: Oversee and participate in the preparation of all food items, ensuring adherence to established recipes, specifications, and portion control guidelines. Maintain quality control throughout the shift, addressing any inconsistencies or issues promptly.
• Shift Management: Manage the kitchen during your assigned shift, ensuring efficient workflow and timely execution of orders. Coordinate the activities of the kitchen team to maintain a smooth and productive environment.
• Team Leadership & Support: Provide guidance and support to the kitchen team during your shift. Motivate and encourage team members, address any performance concerns, and foster a positive and collaborative atmosphere.
• Inventory & Stocking: Monitor inventory levels during your shift and maintain an adequate stock of necessary ingredients and supplies. Assist with inventory checks and communicate any needs to the Kitchen Manager.
• Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Ensure proper operation of all kitchen equipment during your shift. Address any equipment malfunctions promptly and report them to the Kitchen Manager.
• Order Fulfillment & Timing: Monitor incoming orders and oversee timely and accurate preparation and delivery of food.
• Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve any kitchen-related issues that arise during your shift, such as food quality concerns, order discrepancies, or staffing challenges.
• Communication: Maintain clear communication with the kitchen team, front-of-house staff, and the Kitchen Manager. Communicate any important information or updates regarding the shift.
• Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Environment: Prioritize cleanliness by properly adhering to sanitation procedures and keeping work areas organized. Follow all safety protocols for using kitchen equipment and follow regulatory, departmental, and company policies regarding food handling and hygiene.
• Adaptability & Learning: Be a quick learner who can retain information easily and stay up to date with training programs and menu changes.
• Maintain a Professional Appearance: Keep a neat and clean appearance while adhering to our dress code.
• Be Dependable & Responsible: Maintain the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to all regulatory, departmental, and company policies.

Qualifications & Physical Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role in a fast-paced food and beverage environment
• Solid understanding of food preparation techniques, culinary principles, and kitchen operations
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a small team
• Must have current Ohio Person-In-Charge Certification in Food Protection or obtain one within the first 60 days of employment
• Must have reliable transportation to and from our location in Toledo, OH
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must be fluent in English
• Frequently required to stand
• May also perform physical activities such as lifting and stooping

Preferred:

• Experience in a shift leader or supervisory role
• At least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma
