Job Summary (Primary Function)
The candidate will support the AI/HTS initiative having a broad range of organizational skills with proven experience utilizing HTS technologies. This position will include designing, implementing and improving processes for compound management, leading the processes of compound registration, automation of HTS screening, logistics of repetitive processes, and effective timely turnaround of data. Working independently, organization skills, some work at the bench, interfacing with both biology and chemistry, and adaptation of new assays is strongly needed as this is a highly interactive organization.
Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)
* Organize compound library to be accessible and integrated with HTS.
* Understand compound flow and improve on efficiency.
* Interact with chemistry, biochemistry, and biology for key assay HTS utilization.
* Working knowledge of key biochemistry screening assays
* Must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
* Effectively communicate project status in a timely manner
* Individual contributor to leading a team
Basic Qualifications:
* PHD (or equivalent laboratory experience) in Biology/Chemistry/Biochemistry/Life Sciences, and significant experience in compound management/sample logistics.
* Leading or part of an HTS laboratory
* Excellent knowledge of HTS technologies including automation, robotics, HTS processes
* Excellent computer and data analysis skills - working knowledge of Genedata or comparable data analysis system and database
* Excellent communication skills and work productively in a team setting.
* Experience managing and leading teams.
