Schedule: 2 vacancies/2 schedules
Full time: Monday - Thursday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm & Friday 8:00 am - 3:00 pm flexibility, per operational needs
or
Full time: Tuesday - Thursday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm and float other locations on Monday and Friday
As our Phlebotomist, you will perform a variety of procedures, including venipuncture, dermal punctures. POCT is used in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases from patients of all ages. Is also responsible for collecting and processing laboratory specimens in an accurate and timely manner, and maintaining accurate records in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulations.
You will:
- Specimen collection, handling, and processing
- Assist in maintaining laboratory areas, equipment, and supplies
- Participation in committees and task forces
- Easily adapt to new and changing roles, responsibilities, demands, and technologies
- Keep current on regulatory requirements
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent: completion of accredited Phlebotomy training program and clinical rotation preferred
- Prefer certificate: active WA State MA-P certification (medical assistant-phlebotomy) or CMA (certified medical assistant)
- Prefer 2 years’ experience as a Phlebotomist
Skills and Abilities
- Previous phlebotomy experience (2 or more years) highly preferred and familiarity with laboratory processing (accessioning), also preferred
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology preferred
- Ability to work with individuals at all organizational levels, particularly peers, team members, supervisors, managers, and other departments
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Self-directed, open to new learning experiences, and demonstrate teamwork, and exceptional customer service
- Ability to multitask while maintaining quality and efficiency
- Ability to work five shifts/week, including some weekends (rotational)
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Pay Range: $19.46 - $27.25 USD Hourly
The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Generally, new hire offers will be between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range, depending on experience (DOE), with the ability to grow within the range over time.
