Job Summary (Primary Function)
The successful applicant will assume an integral role leading in silico antibody discovery strategies in support of Incyte’s pre-clinical biotherapeutic portfolio. The ideal candidate will hold deep subject matter expertise within antibody biology and/or antibody engineering, possess hands on experience in leveraging protein language models, inverse folding algorithms and molecular modelling tools (e.g., Rosetta) to guide in silico antibody discovery and optimization. The candidate will assume a central role within the Antibody Discovery team where they will work to augment existing in vitro and in vivo antibody discovery workflows with in silico strategies, while contributing to the development of a broader AI-powered discovery pipeline at Incyte. They should work well in a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary atmosphere, leverage internal resources to accomplish objectives under accelerated timelines, and independently contribute to both the technological and intellectual development of the antibody discovery pipeline. They will be expected to maintain detailed electronic laboratory notebook records of ongoing activities and present their findings regularly in a group setting.

Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to the identification and optimization of lead compounds by leveraging artificial intelligence and/or machine learning strategies for in silico sequence design and optimization
- Manage Rosetta-based molecular modeling projects to support lead molecule refinement
- Proactively identify and deploy open-source models and develop in-house ML based models to facilitate Antibody discovery and optimization.
- Leverage next-generation antibody sequencing data together with wet-lab experimental data to empower in silico sequence design
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date electronic lab notebook
- Data analysis and presentation to program teams
- Work collaboratively under aggressive timelines
- PhD with 1-3 years’ of relevant experience, industry experience preferred
- Strong background in antibody biology/engineering and/or B cell immunology
- Strong computational background with experience in programming languages such as Python, R etc.
- Proficient in the application of in silico methods for antibody discovery and sequence optimization
- Proficient in identifying deploying ML based models to leverage in house experimental data to support Antibody discovery programs.
- Hands on experience in single B cell screening technologies preferred.
- Experience with next-generation sequencing approaches and antibody sequence analysis a plus
