Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Electrical Drafter/Detailer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing electrical schematics, bill of materials, and layouts to support the procurement and installation of electrical control systems. The position requires a strong understanding of electrical design principles, codes, and standards, as well as proficiency in CAD software and related tools.
Responsibilities
- Review detailed electrical schematics, bill of materials, and layouts based on project specifications and design standards.
- Collaborate with controls engineers and project managers to ensure the accuracy of design documentation.
- Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) to create and modify electrical designs.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes and regulations.
- Perform quality checks on drawings and documentation to maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of project estimates and material lists.
- Source replacements for long lead time or obsolete parts.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Excel).
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
