Position Summary
The Clinical Director at Independence Care of Arkansas in East Camden is responsible for the oversight and quality of all clinical services provided under the Intensive CSSP Agency certification. This includes ensuring high-quality care, compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, and professional development of staff. The Clinical Director will work collaboratively with clients, families, staff, and external agencies to support the mission of delivering exceptional, person-centered care.
Qualifications
Education and Licensing:
The Clinical Director must hold one (1) of the following active licenses or certifications in the State of Arkansas:
- Psychologist
- Certified Social Worker
- Psychological Examiner – Independent
- Professional Counselor
- Marriage and Family Therapist
- Advanced Practice Nurse with:
- A specialty in psychiatry or mental health
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience post-master’s degree
- Clinical Nurse Specialist with:
- A specialty in psychiatry or mental health
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience post-master’s degree
Key Responsibilities
- Oversight of Clinical Services
- Manage and supervise professional and paraprofessional staff delivering home and community-based services, including therapy, behavioral interventions, and developmental support.
- Ensure all services align with individualized treatment plans and meet regulatory standards.
- Review and approve service plans to ensure compliance with clinical best practices.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Conduct regular chart reviews, client satisfaction surveys, and performance evaluations to assess service quality.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to address service gaps or inefficiencies.
- Monitor compliance with all state and federal regulations, including 42 CFR 441.301(c).
- Training and Development
- Design and deliver training programs on topics such as trauma-informed care, behavioral management, HIPAA compliance, and cultural competency.
- Provide opportunities for professional development, including access to workshops, certifications, and continuing education.
- Mentor staff to promote career growth and skill development.
- On-Call Responsibilities
- Be available on-call to address clinical emergencies or provide guidance on high-risk client situations.
- Coordinate with licensed psychiatrists or other specialists for urgent clinical concerns, including medication management and crisis intervention.
- Client Advocacy and Support
- Actively participate in multidisciplinary meetings to ensure holistic care for clients.
- Serve as a clinical resource for families, addressing their questions and concerns regarding client care.
- Leadership and Collaboration
- Work with executive leadership to establish strategic goals for clinical service delivery.
- Represent the CSSP in meetings with regulatory agencies, community organizations, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive service integration.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
