What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-Print Production Supervisor position at Independence Corrugated?
GenCorr , a TRG company and affiliate of Schwarz Partners is currently seeking a Pre-Print Supervisor to support our Alsip, IL facility. The Pre-Print Supervisor has responsibility for overseeing the production of pre-print orders by organizing and monitoring the workflow and staff on the CI Press.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION :
- Execute production plans by scheduling and assigning the crew, monitoring progress, revising schedules and resolving problems as needed.
- Follow production schedule, make recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality, delivery and service goals, while minimizing waste.
- Train and assist Operators and Helpers with job duties, including set ups, quality, machine troubleshooting, adjustments, repairs.
- Make sure all crew members are at their job post at the start of their shift and that they report back from breaks and lunch on time.
- Responsible for training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Establish high morale within the department by showing fairness, consistency, and an interest in employee problems.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and as needed toolbox talks and safety meetings with staff.
- Perform quality checks and approvals on the floor.
- Oversee temporary labor staff when applicable and make recommendations to add or reduce staff as needed.
- Participate in regular safety meetings and training.
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and timely.
- Assist Plant Manager and Operations Manager as needed.
- Backup to Floor Supervisors as needed.
- Keep appropriate management informed of problems or situations that may affect the performance of the plant.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Comply with company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including federal and / or state required environmental systems, OSHA Safety and Health rules, and standard operating procedures.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Additional duties as assigned.
