Description
Responsible to complete clinical and administrative tasks within the surgical suite and physician office settings. Job duties
may include: preparation of the patient and surgical room, assisting physician throughout surgery, patient triage, clinical
assessment and other tasks as delegated. The Assistant provides wound education to the patient. Assists with patient
scheduling, registration, and contacts patients with biopsy results, as needed.
Education
Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of Credential Medical Assistant status or Completion of a
Certificate/Diploma/Degree Program in a Healthcare related field.
Preferred: N/A
Registration/Certification/Licensure
Current Certification/Licensure appropriate to education, Healthcare Provider CPR, and Act 33/73 clearances
Experience
Minimum: One year experience within a healthcare setting.
Preferred: One year in a dermatology practice.
Other Requirements
Responsible to safely access, transport, and handle single dose medications to include prescription and non-prescription
medications. Responsible to safely access, transport, and handle sharps, such as needles, suture kits, lancets, syringes, etc.
Physical Requirements

Occasional: (0-1/3 of day , 0 - 2.5 hrs/day, 1 - 4 reps/hr)
