Performs duties as the Clinical Supervisor; responsible for the daily operations, to include patient flow and site operations for the offices. Oversees inventory; keeps manager informed of critical issues. Collaborates with Practice Administrator for staff, mid-level and physician office hours and scheduling. Serves as an O.S.H.A. compliance team member. Resolves problems/concerns of patients, staff or physicians.

Education:

    • Minimum:  High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Preferred:  Graduate of an LPN or Registered Nurse Program


Registration/Certification/Licensure
:

Healthcare Provider CPR
Preferred: Certified Medical Assistant, Current PA LPN or RN license and Act 33/73 clearances

Experience:

    • Minimum:  Three years clinical experience in a physician office or within a healthcare related field.
    •  Preferred:  Prior leadership experience

I. Specific Job Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Demonstrates leadership abilities to oversee the day to day operations which ensure efficient and cohesive patient flow. Creates orientation plan for new staff and provides feedback to the Practice Administrator. Collaborates with Practice Administrator for staff, physician and mid-level scheduling.
  • Utilizes critical thinking skills to prioritize patient needs and determine care path in collaboration with physician and/or mid-level provider as needed.
  • Work with insurances and incentive programs to receive maximum reimbursement.
  • Ensure proper utilization of office EMR. Supervises clinical staff to ensure proper patient care is provided. Ensures staff and office are compliant with O.S.H.A. regulations.
  • Resolves patient complaints and problems/concerns of staff or physicians in a timely manner. Provides appropriate education for medication management, pre and post-procedural instruction as needed.

  • Completed mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes.
  • Completed annual employee health requirements within established timeframes.
  • Maintained license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year.
  • Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self. Identifies and works to reduce potentially unsafe patient care or other safety practices.
  • Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance.
