What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Teacher Coach (25-26 SY) position at Independence Mission Schools?

The Network Teacher Coach will support the Academics Team and School Teams in raising achievement across the IMS network of schools. The Network Coach reports to the Deputy Chief of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment.
Specifically, The Network Teacher Coach Will
- Coach Teachers on Best Practices for instruction: This coaching will focus on individual support for teachers to ensure strong instructional outcomes in support of Title 1-eligible students.
- Coaching (observations, debrief meetings, instructional planning, etc.) sessions to be used at selected specific IMS network schools (2-3 per coach). These sessions will utilize practices that promote student achievement (including researching, designing, piloting, refining, and implementing tools and resources that support best practices in coaching, teaching, and learning).
- The network coaches will attend meetings, walkthroughs, co-observations, professional learning sessions on effective observation and feedback practices that focus on responding to classroom data.
- The network coaches will collaborate with school leaders to discuss teacher instructional progress and student data.
- Design and lead in-person and remote professional learning.
- 2-3 years of instructional experience in Literacy instruction and/or math, with preference given to individuals with experience with EL Education and/or Eureka Math, and instructional coaching experience
- A proven track record of raising achievement of low-income students under the Common Core in English/Language Arts and/or Math.
- The ability to build and develop relationships with school leaders, teachers and partners
- Preferred experience as a teacher leader/professional developer/instructional coach.
- Self-directed with the ability to prioritize among competing responsibilities.
- Detail oriented and timely documentation of essential tasks.
- This is a 1099 independent contractor position. The contractor is responsible for meeting the documentation requirements for Title 1 providers, and submitting documentation for compensation.
