Responsibilities
- Guide managers and employees in handling performance issues while ensuring fair and consistent application of employment law, company policies, and performance policies
- Investigate, mediate, and manage workplace disputes between employees or between employees and management
- Conduct investigations into all workplace legal adherence, policy adherence, complaints, and grievances
- Provide guidance on performance warnings, disciplinary actions, and terminations
- Recommend resolutions that align with company policies and legal requirements
- Conduct training on workplace policies, conflict resolution, and employee rights
- Maintain thorough and accurate records of all employee relations issues
- Document and report on actional employee relation metrics which identify or forecast trends
- Ensure all investigations, disputes, mediations, and/or performance management concerns are managed fairly, respectfully, and legally
- At least 5 years in the Human Resources field dedicated to Employee performance management, mediation, and relations
- Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws related to labor relations and equal employment opportunity
- Ability to communicate with employees at all levels, provide constructive feedback, and appreciate different perspectives
- Ability to effectively manage and resolve conflicts between employees, managers, and other stakeholders
- Capacity to guide and influence employees, build trust, and act as a leader within the organization
- Strong ability to build rapport, establish positive relationships, and foster open communication
