Job Summary :
We are looking to add an Escrow Officer or Escrow Assistant who can process and close real estate transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Close commercial real estate closings, including, ensuring compliance with regulations governing title insurance, lender instructions, and other requirements
- Understand the escrow process and take proper actions to transfer the title of real property pursuant to purchase and sale agreements
- Conduct closing with customer, realtor, broker, and/or loan officer
- Complete closing documents, including satisfying title commitment requirements and closing instructions
- Communicates with lenders and underwriters for completeness of closing documents both before and after the closing
- Calculate proration of taxes, deposits, rent, and dues
- Collect funds and disburse funds accurately, ensuring signatures, acknowledgments, legal description, and payoffs
- Complete closing by recording and filing documents and preparing and distributing closing statements, title policies, and other documents
- Provide excellent customer service
- Continuously updates knowledge of the title industry by participating in educational seminars and training
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- Some book of business or the ability to gain a book of business is required
- Minimum two (2) years of experience closing Texas real estate transactions as an Escrow Officer
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills
- Create and manage positive relationships with realtors, lenders, and customers
- Ability to multi-task while being detail-oriented
- Ability to obtain and maintain escrow officer and notary licenses
- Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while being detail-oriented and accurate
- Must have the desire to have fun
- Some experience with RamQuest
