JOB TITLE : CONTROLLER

JOB PURPOSE / SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled Controller with proven experience in the mining, manufacturing, or construction industry to support and enhance our financial operations. This role will assist in the development and implementation of financial processes, oversee daily accounting activities, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong leadership skills, and has an in-depth understanding of industry-specific financial practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial Reporting : Assist in preparing accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and external financial submissions.
- Oversight of Accounting Operations : Supervise daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Budgeting and Forecasting : Collaborate with the finance team to create annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Cost Analysis and Control : Analyze project costs and production expenses to identify areas for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
- Internal Controls and Compliance : Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial information and compliance with GAAP, IFRS, or relevant accounting standards.
- Audit Coordination : Act as a liaison for internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information as required.
- Financial Systems Management : Assist in maintaining and improving ERP systems to improve the integration and automation of financial processes.
- Policy Implementation : Help establish and enforce accounting policies and procedures that align with industry best practices.
- Team Leadership : Mentor and guide accounting staff, providing training and development opportunities to foster a high-performing team.
- Collaboration : Partner with project managers, operations, and procurement teams to ensure alignment between financial planning and project execution.
