Job Summary
Under limited direction, the annuity team manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing day-to-day activities of the New Business Annuity team. Provide ongoing guidance, coaching and development of team members to deliver a superior experience to both internal and external customers. Serves as escalation point on complex issues to ensure coordination with appropriate resources and satisfactory resolution. Collaborates with other department leaders to execute efficiencies, achieve performance targets, and accomplish key business priorities. Creates and maintains relationships and effective partnerships with the sales team as this is critical to the success of the New Business, Annuity team.Job Description
Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for monitoring staff performance, including quality and volume of activity.
- Establishes workload priorities and delegates work appropriately.
- Oversee the daily workload management to ensure service standards are met.
- Ensures control reports are being worked accurately and timely.
- Use comprehensive knowledge of annuity contracts, government regulations and departmental policies and procedures to provide support to team and other stakeholders as needed.
- Understands the intricacies of our customers’ needs and how to best support them.
- Handles escalated situations until resolution.
- Coaches and mentors team members to support service expectations and cultivate a positive culture.
- Creates and maintains strong and effective partnerships with the sales team.
- Establishes strong and successful working relationships with team, other leaders, and key business partners to ensure service strategies and companywide priorities are being met.
- Additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Experience and Education
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or relevant field preferred.
- Previous management experience.
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience, preferably in the Insurance or Financial industry.
