Role Overview
The Installation Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating with customers, scheduling installations, managing installation crews, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to effectively communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage installation projects from start to finish, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management across multiple installations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during installation projects, providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Lead and mentor installation technicians, providing guidance, support, and training as needed to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
- Coordinate with inventory control to ensure availability of materials and equipment needed for installations.
- Conduct site surveys in conjunction with the sales department to determine sales estimates, including costs for parts and labor.
- Present installation progress to higher management and other departments as needed, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
- Identify and evaluate problems that arise during installations, providing proactive solutions to management.
- Liaise between Installation Technicians and management staff to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management discipline preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 5 years of work experience in Fire & Security installation or related field, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, particularly in managing teams and interacting with clients.
- Technical proficiency with various fire and security alarm systems like Honeywell, Potter, SilentKnight, Firelite, DMP, DSX, Brivo, etc. Is preferred
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in installation operations.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in project management software and Windows Office Suite.
- Frequent travel to job sites, with occasional overnight stays depending on project requirements.
- Successful MVR Check that meets fleet requirements, i.e. clean driving record and valid driver's license.
