About the Role:
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Downtown Austin! This is an in-office role reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial records through general ledger maintenance, month-end close processes, and account reconciliations. This role provides high visibility, opportunities for collaboration across departments, and a chance to contribute to the growth and success of our company.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Prepare journal entries, analyze high volumes of financial data, and reconcile accounts to ensure accurate reporting.
- Maintain and balance general ledger accounts by verifying, allocating, and resolving discrepancies.
- Perform revenue and deferred revenue reconciliations.
- Analyze financial statements and provide variance explanations to cross-functional teams.
- Design and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and scalability.
- Assist with external audit requirements and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Participate in special projects and support cross-departmental initiatives as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
- Experience: Previous experience is not required.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to analyze and manage large data sets.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with strong problem-solving abilities.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.

- Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 USD (dependent on experience and education).
