Job Title: DJ Mentor

Location: Placerville, CA Area (Travel up to 2-3 hours each way 2 times a year , Mileage included)

Job Type: Part-Time (Approx. 8-12 hours/month)- Hours may increase

Pay: $40 per hour

Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic DJ Mentor to support a local DJ during gigs and events. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for music, excellent people skills, and a flexible schedule. You’ll assist transportation to gigs, help with equipment setup and break down, manage song requests and guest at the venue, maintain a positive atmosphere, and help with social media updates on DJ's Instagram page.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with setting up and breaking down DJ equipment (up to 40 lbs)
• Assist with reading song requests
• Manage playlists and download songs using Spotify or other platforms
• Handle song requests and manage crowd interactions
• Prevent unauthorized access to equipment
• Assist in updating the DJ’s Instagram with event content
• Provide basic support with reading as needed
• Travel to events within a 2-3 hour radius as required (Mileage reimbursed)

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with DJ equipment and music playlists
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in using Spotify
• Reliable transportation and a flexible schedule
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with event management or customer service is a plus
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Have reliable transportation, Valid Drivers License and Insurance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiar with the Placerville, CA area, and possible connections to increase business
• Comfortable with managing social media platforms, especially Instagram
• Ability to remain calm in high-energy environments
• Experience working with persons with disabilities and dexterity barriers.
