The Insurance Agent sells insurance and assists customers with all insurance needs. Key responsibilities include contacting prospective customers about insurance products and policies, meeting with potential customers to discuss adequacy of existing insurance coverage and related financial resources, explaining various insurance policies and products to potential and existing customers, guiding customers in selecting coverage to best meet their needs, suggesting modifications and updates to customer's existing insurance policies, building customized insurance policies and packages to meet customer's needs, processing insurance policy renewals, assisting customers with filing insurance claims, maintaining print and electronic records and files as required, promoting and representing the agency and making referrals to other departments, and performing other job-related duties as assigned.
Key Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have a High School Degree or General Education Degree (GED) and be licensed to sell insurance in applicable state. You should also be willing to test for additional licenses. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to keep accurate records. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs or similar software is also required. Additionally, you must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and work independently. Your excellent time management, communications, interpersonal, and organizational skills will also enable you to succeed in this role.
