Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support mobility by helping clients move safely around their living space or during medical appointments.
- Monitor and report changes in clients' health status to healthcare professionals.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' mental well-being.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary, ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records as required by healthcare protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a caregiving role, particularly in geriatrics or hospital settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical-surgical practices and hospital medicine is advantageous.
- Familiarity with operating room (OR) protocols or teaching hospital environments is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
