Direct Care Aide

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals with disabilities in various settings, group homes, and home care environments. Duties

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of living spaces, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for all residents.
• Monitor and document residents' health status, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate staff members.
• Support residents in participating in social activities and community engagement opportunities.
• Uphold resident rights by respecting their privacy, dignity, and choices at all times.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to individual needs.

Experience

• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in assisted living is not required, we will train.
• Background in social work or home care can be beneficial for understanding the needs of residents.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential for success in this role.
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of direct care is highly valued.

Pay: $11.00 - $12.50 per hour
