Position Summary
The Sanitarian is responsible for monitoring and completing the MSS (Master Sanitation Schedule) daily. The Sanitarian will document the completion of assigned task of the MSS, as well as corrective actions. Other duties will include Cleaning an stocking with supplies to the facility area (walls, floors, ceiling, equipment and all contact and non-contact food surfaces). The Sanitarian will be responsible for special projects and monthly cleaning tasks. Additional duties will include assisting in the daily assembly process and any other task assigned by the managerial staff.
Essential Functions
- Maintain MSS (Master Sanitation Schedule)
- Clean and supply designated facility areas.
- Perform various cleaning actions such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, cleaning the employee bathrooms etc.
- Perform and track routine inspections.
- Perform maintenance activities.
- Stock and maintain supply rooms and notify management when running low.
- Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment.
- Empty garbage and keep garbage areas clean and covered.
- Effectively communicate in verbal and written form with all Food Service Staff while performing job requirements
- Receives merchandise from all vendors, checks for expiration dates, dented cans, or damaged products.
- Checks order for accuracy and store as needed in dry, refrigerator or freezer, as necessary.
- Rotate merchandise according to the FIFO rule.
- Cleans food preparation areas as determined by company policies and Health Department
- Regulations.
- Clean and sanitize working area before start work and after finishing work.
- Be flexible with the schedule for any unforeseen emergencies/circumstances.
- Capable on performing other duties assigned by managerial staff.
