About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Telecom Engineer to join our team at Independent Living Systems (ILS). ILS, along with its affiliated health plans known as Florida Community Care and Florida Complete Care, is committed to promoting a higher quality of life and maximizing independence for all vulnerable populations. As a Telecom Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex telecommunications systems that meet the needs of our organization. You will work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure that our telecommunications infrastructure is reliable, secure, and efficient. Your work will directly impact the quality of care that we provide to our members.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in designing and implementing telecommunications systems
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications protocols and standards
- Experience with network design and implementation
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
- Experience in the Health Care Services industry
- Experience with VoIP and unified communications systems
- Experience with cloud-based telecommunications systems
- Experience with project management
- Active Genesys or Ring Central certification
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement complex telecommunications systems that meet the needs of our organization
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing telecommunications infrastructure
- Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure that our telecommunications systems are reliable, secure, and efficient
