Independent Opportunities Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing high quality community based services and nursing services to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
LPN Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing interventions according to the Plan of Care in accordance with accepted standards of clinical practice permitted by state law/regulations within the Nurse Practice Act.
- Participate with all staff in formulating and implementing all matters pertaining to the operation of the home and the individual’s program including the health care plans and therapy plans of care.
- Be an advocate for the individuals we serve.
- Provide accurate, timely and detailed documentation.
- Organize, supervise and interact with individuals in their daily active treatment program per their ISP or HSP
- Using critical thinking skills and best clinical judgement provide the utmost in quality care.
- Participate in all required in services/training/quality improvement activities.
- Reports to and is accountable to the Director of Nursing

Qualifications:
- Current professional license to work in Tennessee
- Current driver’s license
- Dependable transportation with at least liability insurance
- Current CPR
- Satisfactory criminal background check
- Willingness to work in home environments
- Ability to think critically and make sound decisions
- Respect the individuals we serve, maintain privacy and HIPAA requirements
- Current Relias training a plus!
- Patience, energy and display of a positive attitude required.

Pay: From $25.87 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 36 per week
