Job Summary
The Lab Technician works closely with the General Manager to achieve customer satisfaction in production efficiency and quality. This position will be responsible for overall assistance in achieving all KPI standards including but not limited to account Service Level Agreement, Breakage Percentage, Jobs Per Hour efficiencies in lens/frame inventory receiving, machine production, assembly, quality auditing, end-of-day shipping. Assistance in machine calibration and general lab facility upkeep are also an expectation.
Responsibilities
- Achieves efficiency in combination with standard operating procedures and process flow set by the General Manager.
- Produces product to comply with the latest ANSI standards (Current ANSI Z80 1-2015).
- Assists General Manger with maintaining and recording daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly machine maintenance and calibrations.
- Assists General Manager with general lab facility upkeep including but not limited to cleanliness, organization, regularly scheduled machine cleaning, etc.
- Ability to multitask various positions throughout Finishing lab.
- Awareness of lab daily performance.
- Basic computer use with DVI system for order receiving, general machine uses, and completed product shipping.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma is required.
- Strong verbal skills required.
- Attention to detail minded.
- Ability to train and multitask within various manufacturing positions.
- Previous optical knowledge (ability to read and understand prescriptions, lensometer reading) is STRONGLY PREFERRED.
- Experience in manufacturing/warehouse/assembly setting is a PLUS.
- More technical optical knowledge (lens edging process, drilled-frame mounting, ANSI standard adherence) is a PLUS.
- LMS software experience (DVI-preferred) is a PLUS.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 45 per week
