Solar Installation Crew Lead
Description
Well-established, fast-growing home electrification company based in Boulder, CO is looking for an experienced Solar Installation Crew Lead to work on residential and commercial projects. This position will providing on-site field supervision, overseeing a team of experienced and apprentice solar installers that assemble, install, and maintain residential and commercial solar systems. The Crew Lead is expected to assist with the installation of battery systems, EV chargers & other electrical equipment. With a growing portfolio of both residential and commercial projects, this role will be expected to transition between leading both residential and commercial projects. Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervision: Oversee the entire installation project, including safety, quality, and efficiency. Management of installation crew to ensure efficiency and task completion.
- Communication: Communicate with construction manager about job progress, changes, and scheduling
- Documentation: Fill out job documents and collect data and photos
- Inventory: Manage the truck tools and material inventory
- Troubleshooting: Supervise the fixing and troubleshooting of projects
- Cleanup: Oversee clean up of the job site
- Driving: Drive the company vehicle to and from jobs safely
Related Experience and Educational Requirements
Minimum requirements:
- Experience in electrical, construction, or solar trades.
- Leadership qualities and problem-solving nature
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and maneuver a large ladder and other equipment as necessary.
- Valid Driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to travel between job sites
Preferred requirements
- 2 Years of solar installation experience
- OSHA 10 Certification
- Strong understanding of NEC codes, especially PV related
- Experienced installation of modern PV systems or related training
- Excellent customer service skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Crew Lead (2 years and leadership): $33-36/hr depending on experience
Paid Vacation:
- Year 1: 2 weeks
- Year 2: 3 weeks
- Year 3 : 4 weeks

Pay: $33.00 - $36.00 per hour
