QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have previous custodial and routine maintenance experience.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently.
- Must be physically qualified to perform assigned duties including lifting up to 50lbs on a regular basis and display flexibility in cleaning assignments.
- Ability to communicate in a clear, positive manner with staff, students and the public.
- Must have a desire to work in a cooperative manner and team environment.
- Must have a good attendance record and be punctual.
- Must have positive work performance evaluations. Must not have any recent disciplinary actions.
- Must conduct a positive interview and receive a good reference from current and previous supervisors.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean assigned building areas, perform minor repairs and maintenance as directed.
- Move and assemble furniture, etc.
- Assist in securing the building during and at the end of shift.
- Assist in school recycling program.
- Assist with grounds duties, pick up trash, mow, pull / spray weeds, snow removal, etc.
- Perform duties in a timely, neat, and efficient manner.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
