New-to-District Classified employees may be eligible to receive credit for up to two years’ worth of credit for movement (steps) on the Classified Salary Schedule based on relevant prior work experience. Please complete the top portion of this form and provide it to your previous employer for completion. To qualify, newly hired employees must provide this form, completed by your former employer(s), to Human Resources no later than the date of their fingerprinting and appointment.


Please be advised that accepting full-time employment may affect any subsidy for health insurance purchased through the Idaho Health Insurance Exchange.

Index: 01/G/02 ($20.93/hour) to 01/G/04 ($22.64/hour) depending on verified experience
for NEW to District Employees


  • Transferring employees or former District employees hired into this role will be placed on the "G" letter grade of the Classified Salary Schedule, but the initial step placement will vary based on a variety of factors.

For positions that qualify, the District offers a benefit package that is valued at more than $10,000 annually. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERSI) and are provided to Classified employees who work at least half time (20 hours per week) or more in a regular position and to Certified employees with a .50 FTE or greater contract.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency.

  • Previous successful clerical experience preferred. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, including handling interruptions and return to and complete tasks in a timely manner.

  • Ability to use computer in record keeping duties using Microsoft Office, Access, Word, and Excel required.

  • Maintain office, and program confidentiality.

  • Ability to prepare and/or maintain accurate records/files, as assigned.

  • Ability to compose letters, memos, etc. from written and verbal instructions, as required.

  • Ability to greet visitors and answer telephones, in a pleasant and courteous manner,

  • Ability to perform time management and scheduling functions, meet deadlines, and set task priorities.

  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with district personnel, and the public.

  • Ability to deal with confidential information in a responsible manner.

  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 30 pounds and/or carry materials up/down stairs.
