New-to-District Classified employees may be eligible to receive credit for up to two years’ worth of credit for movement (steps) on the Classified Salary Schedule based on relevant prior work experience. Please complete the top portion of this form and provide it to your previous employer for completion. To qualify, newly hired employees must provide this form, completed by your former employer(s), to Human Resources no later than the date of their fingerprinting and appointment.

Index: 01/G/02 ($20.93/hour) to 01/G/04 ($22.64/hour) depending on verified experience for NEW to District Employees
Transferring employees or former District employees hired into this role will be placed on the "G" letter grade of the Classified Salary Schedule, but the initial step placement will vary based on a variety of factors.

High school diploma or GED equivalency;
- Operate a variety of standard and specialized office equipment, including a personal computer;
- Perform time management and scheduling functions, meet deadlines, and set task priorities;
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing 20-30 pounds and/or carry materials up/down stairs.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to children and adults;
Perform a wide variety of clerical and administrative support duties; Perform multiple tasks simultaneously, including handling interruptions, and return to and complete tasks in a timely manner;
Follow written and oral instructions;
Maintain records efficiently and accurately and to prepare clear and concise reports;
Maintain effective working relationships with other school employees, supervisory personnel, and the public;
Utilize effective organizational skills, telephone etiquette and good people skills;
Respond appropriately to emergency or unusual situations that may involve administering first aid, contacting parents, or dealing with sensitive or confidential issues;
Use logical and creative thought processes to develop solutions according to written specifications and/or oral instructions;
Maintain office, school, and individual confidentiality.
The incumbent will perform a wide variety of administrative support, secretarial and clerical duties at a secondary school. Responsibilities may include duties in one or more of the following specialty areas: Counseling, Attendance, Records, Registration, Teacher’s Support, and/or Main Office.
