New-to-District Classified employees may be eligible to receive credit for up to two years’ worth of credit for movement (steps) on the Classified Salary Schedule based on relevant prior work experience. Please complete the top portion of this form and provide it to your previous employer for completion. To qualify, newly hired employees must provide this form, completed by your former employer(s), to Human Resources no later than the date of their fingerprinting and appointment.

Index: 01/I/02 ($24.41/hour) to 01/I/04 ($26.41/hour) depending on verified experience for NEW to District Employees
Transferring employees or former District employees hired into this role will be placed on the "I" letter grade of the Classified Salary Schedule, but the initial step placement will vary based on a variety of factors.

- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social or human services, education, human development, or related field preferred OR two years of experience working in an education or social service setting.
- Experience working with economically, culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
- Bilingual skills preferred (Spanish)
Knowledge of:
- Local, state and federal resources to support low-income and under-represented populations.
- Marketing, budgeting, data collection and evaluation best practices.
- Team dynamics and willing to contribute ideas and resources as part of a dynamic team.
- The Boise School District Strategic Plan and committed to planning, implementing, documenting and reporting in support of that plan.
- Microsoft Office products, database software and Google Apps for Education programs.
The Community School Coordinator (CSC) will develop, manage, facilitate and implement community school activities, events, programs and services that lead to student achievement, stronger families and healthier neighborhoods.
Responsiblities:
- Coordinate site operations, including: planning, organizing and delivering resources for basic needs and opportunities for student enrichment and parent engagement.
- In cooperation with the leadership team, develop a site action plan that will help alleviate social and economic barriers to student learning.
- Identify and recruit people and organizations willing to offer programs and services for students and families at the school or to assist with operations.
- Negotiate agreements, in collaboration with the principal, with people and organizations that will provide services.
- Develop and maintain, and publicize a schedule of programs and activities offered at the school.
- Coordinate and monitor programs and activities.
- Perform administrative tasks for the day to day management and coordination of activities.
- Adhere to school policies and procedures
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and work with a diverse group of people
- Understand and interpret the policies, procedures, and general organizational structure of the Boise School District.
- Prioritize day-to-day programming and responsive to emergent issues and concerns.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with school personnel, partners, parents and students.
- Be a creative thinker and self-starter.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Build community partnerships and maintain working relationships.
- Flex hours and work evenings and weekends as necessary.
