Benefits Information:
For positions that qualify, the District offers a benefit package that is valued at more than $10,000 annually. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERSI) and are provided to Classified employees who work at least half time (20 hours per week) or more in a regular position and to Certified employees with a .50 FTE or greater contract.

• Applicants must hold or be eligible to hold a current Idaho Consulting Teacher Endorsement and a current Idaho Special Education teaching certificate;


• Successful teaching experience in a self-contained behavior classroom;


• Proven ability to collaborate with school teams on addressing behavior issues;


• Extensive knowledge on best practices in dealing with classroom management, program design, and implementation of behavioral strategies; and


• Leadership/administrative experience desirable.

Under the direction of the District Special Ed. Administrator the incumbent will assist in the development and implementation of the district’s Special Education programs, services and instructional strategies.

He/she will work as the liaison between special education administration and the district-wide Special Ed. Programs; understand Medicaid billing requirements; assist Special Education teachers in program design, problem-solving challenging behaviors and collaboration with school staff.

Upon hire applicants are required to clear a criminal justice fingerprint and background check.
