New-to-District Classified employees may be eligible to receive credit for up to two years’ worth of credit for movement (steps) on the Classified Salary Schedule based on relevant prior work experience. Please complete the top portion of this form and provide it to your previous employer for completion. To qualify, newly hired employees must provide this form, completed by your former employer(s), to Human Resources no later than the date of their fingerprinting and appointment.
Index: 01/F/02 ($19.37/hour) to 01/F/04 ($20.96/hour) depending on verified experience for NEW to District Employees
Transferring employees or former District employees hired into this role will be placed on the "F" letter grade of the Classified Salary Schedule, but the initial step placement will vary based on a variety of factors.

Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERSI) and are provided to Classified employees who work at least half time (20 hours per week) or more in a regular position and to Certified employees with a .50 FTE or greater contract.

- Operate the Automated library cataloguing, circulation, and Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC); maintain library equipment
- Operate office equipment, including a personal computer and required software applications.
- Assist teachers with testing and supplemental programs
- Coordinate or participate in special events related to reading and library
- Present information about basic library functions and skills, including how to use the library, the online catalog and computer/web-based resources;
- Coordinate with teachers to ensure material related to and required for teaching curriculum is available.
- Graduation from high school, 48 college credit hours, OR Associates degree or higher (transcripts or copy of degree will be required upon hire), OR successful completion of the ETS Paraprofessional Praxis Exam (this exam may be taken after offer of employment has been extended, however, must be successfully completed prior to beginning employment).
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with district personnel, students and the public.
- Ability to maintain and demonstrate a positive attitude toward students and learning.
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 30 pounds and/or carry materials up/down stairs.
The incumbent is responsible for administering the services of the school library; including managing student behavior, perform library functions including, but not limited to, checking books and materials in and out, assisting students and staff in locating books and electronic research materials, shelving books and collection management; may be responsible for checking audio/visual equipment in and out, inventorying library materials and maintaining the library.
