For positions that qualify, the District offers a benefit package that is valued at more than $10,000 annually. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERSI) and are provided to Classified employees who work at least half time (20 hours per week) or more in a regular position and to Certified employees with a .50 FTE or greater contract.

Experience and Training
- Valid Idaho Administrator's Certificate required;
- Master's Degree in School Administration or equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities outlined above required;
- Experience as a building administrator preferred;
- Experience in security management specific to the educational environment preferred;
- Familiarity with educaitonal settings and the unique needs of schools preferred.

Primary Function
The Safety and Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation and maintenance of the district's safety and security programs and measures. The supervisor collaborates with local law enforcement, emergency responders, and school administration to create a secure learning environment for students, staff, and visitors by coordinating emergency preparedness and ensuring compliance with district policies and legal regulations.

Competency Requirements:
Knowledge of:
- Current state and federal code relating specifically to issues of school operations, school safety, student/employee rights, criminal investigation, and general overall operations;
- School and District policies on discipline, punishment, criminal prosecution, and school safety or security-related issues;
- District business operations procedures relating to contracting, purchasing, and specification of services or equipment;
- Standard operating procedures for emergency response agencies, including local/state/federal law enforcement, fire service, emergency medical, and emergency management agencies;
- State reporting requirements;
- The National Incident Management System (NIMS) compliance requirements fro schools and school districts including the Incident Command System (JCS);
- Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED);
- Knowledge of multi-hazard mitigation planning.
Ability to:
- Accomplish goals and objectives independently, without direct supervision, including assessing needs, assigning priorities, and executing project implementation;
- Communicate professsionally both verbally and in writing to varied constituencies;
- Synthesize varied information to determine problems, potential outcomes, and recommended solutions;
- Coordinate complex, long-term projects and intitiatives using district and community resources, representatives, and considerations;
- Build respectful and productive interdisciplinary and interagency relationships;
- Prepare, maintain, present, and interpret reports, records, and documentation;
- Operate basic security equipment, including surveillance equipment and a two-way radio;
- Follow written and oral instructions and observe District policies and procedures;

- Perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities with accuracy and speed under the pressure of time-sensitive deadlines;
- Perform multiple tasks simultaneously, including handling interruptions, and return to and complete tasks on time;
- Prepare and present oral presentations to groups;
- Learn and understand District programs, policies, procedures, and processes sufficiently to convey related information to the public and other District staff;
- Maintain important records efficiently and accurately and to prepare clear and concise reports;
- Maintain confidentiality of information processed or prepared;

- Respond appropriately to public inquiries and present a positive public image.
