Boise School District is seeking a Special Education Consulting Teacher for our Extended School Year (ESY) program. This temporary summer position is ideal for an experienced special education professional who is passionate about supporting students with disabilities and collaborating with staff to ensure meaningful summer learning experiences.
Salary Schedules
Qualifications:
Required: Valid Idaho Special Education Teaching License.
- Experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a consultative role.
- Strong knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) and instructional best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to provide effective coaching and support to educators.
Schedule & Commitment:
- This position is for the summer only during the Extended School Year (ESY) program.
- ESY is offered from June 3rd to July 3rd 2025
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional support and consultation to ESY staff to implement effective, individualized strategies for students with disabilities.
- Assist in creating curriculum and instructional materials to meet diverse student needs.
- Offer professional guidance to ESY teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers.
- Monitor student progress and provide recommendations for instructional adjustments.
- Collaborate with families, ESY staff, and administrators to ensure consistency in student support.
- Support the implementation of behavior management strategies and accommodations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports as required by the district and state regulations.
