Software Engineer, Level 1

What you will be doing!

As a Software Engineer Developer, Level 1, you will develop new and modified code and integrate open-source software solutions for testing. Candidates must be familiar with several code languages and be able to update, maintain, and repair existing programs. New development uses Python to make calls to external programs and interface with Jenkins's continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) jobs and processes. The current focus is to develop and provide a user interface to schedule Jenkins jobs and monitor progress and output. develop and provide a user interface to schedule Jenkins jobs and monitor progress and output.

Job Description / Requirements

• Linux
• Python - comfortable with modules and API interface calls
• Bash / Shell scripting
• Must be familiar with: Elasticsearch and Logstash (ELK stack, NiFi, and Jenkins Application Program Interface

• Ruby
• Microsoft Office environment
• Documentation and admin
• Linux security certificates
• Web development tools (Django or similar)
  
  

Education and Experience:

• Seven (7) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• A bachelor's degree may be substituted for four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes.
• Seven (7) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  
  

Clearance Required: Must possess an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph security clearance to be considered for this role
