Job Status: Part-time/Hourly, Non-Exempt

ISE seeks a passionate, innovative and driven Research & Development Intern in their downtown Chicago, IL office to assist its team of agents and attorneys in various matters involving client representation and analytics issues throughout the season.
Responsibilities:
- Support baseball agents in day-to-day activities involving the representation of current and future client base
- Assist with statistical modeling and analysis throughout the season
- Research and develop presentations related to salary arbitration, contract negotiations, player development and recruiting
- Ad hoc projects
- General administrative duties
Preferred Qualifications:
- Comprehensive knowledge and strong interest in baseball (i.e., players, transactions, contracts, statistics, advanced metrics and player evaluation)
- Superior leadership, writing, research, presentation and project management skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to research using databases and internet
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
- Extremely organized with an acute attention to detail
- Skilled communicator able to articulate complex ideas and business issues verbally and in writing
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Eligibility:
- Bachelor’s degree or master's degree student/graduate (within one year) with strong academic performance
- Pursuing (or having earned) a law degree, MBA or other business or statistics-oriented graduate degree preferred but not required
- Must reside in (or be willing to move to) the Chicago, IL metro area
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
