Summary

The person in this role will report to the Senior Manager of Content and Initiatives and be available to support, through a matrix reporting structure, the Director of Content and Initiatives. Responsibilities include: supporting the Programming and Production Department, and specifically the Programming team through administration and coordination of initiative workflows; serving as a primary contact for applicants through all phases of the application process; supporting in editing materials; scheduling and preparing for initiative meetings; collecting and analyzing data; generating reports; serving as a liaison between departments; administering, coordinating and evaluating funding initiative applications; and, supporting department events and activities such as Annual Planning, department workshops and meetings.

Specific Duties 


Initiative Coordination (90%) 

  • Act as primary staff contact with applicants regarding funding and selection processes, procedures and guidelines for open funding initiatives.
  • Coordinate intake of filmmaker proposals, application materials.
  • Coordinate administration of review processes throughout the application lifecycle. 
  • Coordinate reader and/or panelist contracting as needed.
  • Provide administrative support across funding initiatives as needed, including department workflows, cross-departmental communications, and other duties as assigned.
  • Collect, analyze and present initiative data, including applicant statistics and user metrics, to key stakeholders. 
  • Support coordination of logistics and hospitality for initiative meetings (including special events); coordinate budget allocations for these activities. 
  • Support funding initiative orientations and training for readers, panelists and internal staff (e.g., feedback), as needed. 
  • Participate in the review and evaluation of submitted program proposals as needed.

Department and Institutional Support (10%)

  • Work with Programming and Production coordinators to support department and institutional events such as All Staff meetings, department meetings, and special events as needed.
  • Support departmental archival projects.

Requirements

  • Preferred: 1-3 years of professional experience in TV or film production in one of the following areas: broadcast or cable network, public media, entertainment, marketing, advertising agency, or brand management. If a recent graduate, preferably 1-3 TV or film production related internships completed.
  • Required: Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team. 
  • Required: Experience with project management tools and software including Microsoft Word, Google Suite and other software applications. 
  • Preferred: Experience working with application lifecycle management software and strong command of Excel.
  • Preferred: Experience working in public television. 

Compensation

ITVS is a financial steward of public funds and committed to pay transparency, as well as providing equitable and competitive compensation for staff. For this role the pay is $27.50/hour, and all new hires' base pay will begin at $27.50/hour. This is a non-exempt 6-month temporary full-time position, 40 hours/week.

Our goal is to provide a flexible hybrid model of in-person and remote work that supports individual productivity, teamwork, and an organizational culture fueled in part by being present with one another. To achieve this goal in-office attendance, of at least two (2) days a week, is a requirement of working at ITVS.
